About the Role: We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Store Person to join our Parts team based in Port Moresby. This role primarily exists to pick, pack, store and dispatch materials within the warehouse in a safe, efficient manner to meet contractual and business requirements. Reporting to the Parts Manager, your competence and experience will include: Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives. Maintain and maximize efficiency within the warehouse through the effective team participation of the put away and picking functions, ensuring system inventory accuracy and system targets are met or exceeded. Contribute to the provision of quality within the department by personally adhering to the company’s quality policies and system. Contribute to the provision of a safe working environment and minimize lost time and costs due to accident and injury by personally adhering to the Company’s occupational health, safety and environmental policies and programmes. Facilitates continuous improvement by recommending, and after approval, implementing systems and processes to improve the efficiency of the warehouse area and reduce stock adjustments. Complies and maintains accurate and saleable inventory by regular cycle counts as per cycle count plan, recommending and arranging protection of inventory within budget constraints and establishing and adhering to inspection plan as per company guidelines. Enhance Company’s reputation as a preferred supplier by ensuring the quality, timely and safe delivery of materials and services to internal and external customers. About You: You will bring the following skills and experience to the role: Tertiary Qualifications in Business or related discipline. Year 12 School Certificate is required. Minimum five (5) years’ experience in warehousing. Prior exposure to the Caterpillar parts systems.
