Description

The Store Planner is responsible for the strategic movement of merchandise, inventory optimization and actionable reporting and analysis. This role is pivotal at the store, style, and size level within our distribution chain. The Planning team is accountable for the development, coordination, and review of product assortment by store as well as the financial planning, allocation, and inventory of each product category.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-3 years of prior retail/allocation experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Merchandising, Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain)
  • Strong fundamentals in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Retail Math.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and collaborating cross functionally.
  • Experience with replenishment software a plus.
  • Adaptable with the ability to work with shifting priorities.
  • Uses analytics to problem solve.
  • Good communicator and comfortable presenting to all levels
  • Accountable and works with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Detail orientated
  • Willingness to travel to visit stores
    Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience. Responsibilities
  • Implement allocation strategies that support financial plans, brand objectives and strategic vision, resulting in effective allocations and the efficient use of inventory.
  • Allocate merchandise at style/color/size level based on the strategy, current trend and using historical data.
  • Monitor and analyze store and web performance across multiple departments, adjusting allocation strategies quarterly.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to align allocation and merchandise strategy.
  • Maintain SKU-Store model stocks for an OMNI channel business. Manage introductions, exits, and maintenance strategies for replenishment product. Optimize OMNI channel assortments through SKU rationalizations and business analysis.
  • Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels, inclusive of safety stock, in both the distribution center, online, and stores to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Utilize proprietary platform to analyze large amounts of data at both an aggregate and a granular level to identify opportunities and liabilities. Review historical sales trends and strategically react to these changes in business.
  • Participate in the continuous effort to improve the allocation process and strategies. Support the implementation of new systems and raising efficiencies to ensure processes enhance customer service and reduce inventory to achieve financial plans.
