QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Laundry Officer, or similar role in a hospitality, hotels or holiday home environment.
  • Manual license for light vehicles is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage inventory systems and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Must be available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE: STOREKEEPER AND LAUNDRY OFFICER

The primary responsibility of the Storekeeper & Laundry Officer is to manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, maintain stock levels, and oversee laundry operations. This role is crucial to ensuring that all housekeeping supplies and inventory are well-organized, efficiently stocked, and readily available, contributing to the seamless functioning of the team and the guest experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the inventory of housekeeping supplies, linens, and other stock items to ensure optimal stock levels, making timely orders to avoid shortages.
  • Organize and maintain storage areas, ensuring that all supplies and materials are properly categorized, labeled, and stored for easy access, following safety protocols and storage guidelines to avoid damage or loss.
  • Oversee the handover of dirty laundry to the outsourced laundry company and the receipt of clean laundry, ensuring that proper documentation and stock levels are maintained.
  • Inspect received linens to ensure they meet quality standards. Segregate linens into pre-arranged sets for each apartment scheduled for cleaning that day, ensuring accuracy and proper preparation for housekeeping teams.
  • Operate washing machines for in-house cleaning of housekeeping dusters.
  • Stock up the housekeeping van with necessary supplies and equipment, ensuring the van is organized and well-maintained.
  • Drive the housekeeping van, transporting laundry and supplies between locations.
  • Collaborate closely with the operational team to align inventory and laundry needs with housekeeping schedules and requirements. Communicate any potential supply or equipment issues and work together to find solutions that ensure a smooth workflow.
