VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: STOREMAN Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly motivated and committed employees for the position of Storeman to join the versatile Maintenance Team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick's DNA by: Communicating Honestly, Transparently, and Acting with Integrity Exhibiting a Results-Driven approach Delivering solutions that are Fit for Purpose Dedicating themselves to Building a Sustainable Legacy Taking Responsibility and being Accountable Committing to Zero Harm Cultivating strong and meaningful Partnerships Reporting to the Supervisor - Workshop, you will be responsible for responsible for managing inventory, issuing parts, maintaining stock accuracy, and ensuring critical materials are available to support equipment reliability and maintenance activities. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Receive, store, and issue maintenance parts, consumables, tools, and equipment. Immediate response to customer's demands for stock items generated through both online and manual stock requisitions. Ensure that where required goods are stored according to the suppliers/manufacturers’ instructions (e.g. air conditioned away from direct light, dry and protected). Understand the criticality of binning Goods and can demonstrate the binning of items correctly. Ensure that goods requiring special handling or storage risk are handled as per safety policy and requirements. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock is stored safely and securely. Assist trades and maintenance personnel by preparing and issuing parts for planned and unplanned work. Conduct regular stocktakes and reconcile variances within the maintenance warehouse. Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when reordering is required. Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the SAP Inspect delivered goods for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications. Maintain housekeeping standards in the store area and adhere to all mine site safety procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and warehouse efficiency. To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements: Full Grade Twelve School Certificate Minimum Certificate in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or equivalent Significant 1 year experience as a Storeman or Warehouse Officer, preferably in mining, maintenance, or similar. Knowledge of maintenance parts, components, and consumables used in mining equipment (advantageous). Proficiency in MS software and exposure to SAP. Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced maintenance environment with competing priorities. Holder of a valid driver’s license; with forklift operating permit will be an added advantage. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
