STOREMAN / DELIVERY DRIVER

Start date: ASAP
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000
Hours: 40 hours per week (8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday), with overtime as required paid at time and a half / double time.
Holidays: 24 days per annum plus bank holidays (increasing with service).
Benefits: Private Health Care, overtime pay.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Full UK Driving Licence (7.5T licence and CPC qualification desirable, But not essential).
  • Previous experience in a similar storeman/stock handling role.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work on own initiative.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Experience within an engineering or construction industry (beneficial).
    You must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, safety and efficiency. Flexibility is essential, as overtime may be required — including occasional early starts (e.g. leaving the yard to ensure materials are on site for 7:30am).

Responsibilities
  • Taking deliveries of materials/equipment and checking items against delivery notes. Uploading delivery note to internal system (construction manager)
  • Storing and organising materials, ensuring all items are labelled as per job number.
  • Loading and unloading deliveries with a forklift (training provided if required).
  • Driving company vehicles to deliver and collect equipment/materials between sites and the yard.
  • Supporting site teams by ensuring timely delivery of materials and collecting returns.
  • Keeping yard and stores tidy and organised, taking ownership of stock control.
  • Liaising with site teams to ensure material/equipment needs are met.
  • Managing waste, bin and recycling collections.
