As Storeperson with Fairmont Vancouver Airport, you ensure all incoming and outgoing merchandise being received or shipped as described in the policy and procedures manual. To issue, store, price and rotate all incoming merchandise for the hotel. What you will be doing: Daily stores activities including ordering, storing, receiving, organizing and issuing of food & beverage products Purchasing standards and process are strictly implemented in the electronically procurement system Ensure all products are accounted for Products are checked for quality, stored safely and securely Establish a professional business relationship with all internal & external clients Ensure a smooth and efficient functioning of the day to day operations in the absence of Receiver Ensure all hotel and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all times Maintain the Fairmont Vancouver Airport’s recycling program. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Must be security minded, as you will be responsible for reporting any suspicious activities during your shift Does whatever it takes to “wow” our guest while supporting their colleagues Flexible to work any shift, any day of the week Dedicated to supporting a SAFE work environment; WHMIS certification an asset Must be well organized and work well independently and as part of a team Professional presentation and strong communication skills, both written and verbal Has a good working knowledge of Microsoft PC applications especially Excel, Word, and Outlook applications Ability to meet deadlines in a demanding, exacting environment Self-motivated with minimal supervision Prior experience in inventory procedures: purchase, credit, delivery, stock rotation an asset Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shift Frequent lifting and carrying up to a min. of 30 lbs. to a max. of about 55 lbs Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting Additional Information Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
