Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Storeperson to join our Altona Workshop . In this role, you will manage inventory, order and issue parts, process invoices and job cards, and ensure the smooth operation of our workshop. You’ll work closely with managers, supervisors, equipment operators, and workshop staff, playing a key part in keeping our operations running efficiently. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with opportunities to develop your skills and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Highly self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in a busy workshop or maintenance operation
  • Knowledge of auto and truck parts with strong technical aptitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented, punctual, and reliable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry

QUALIFICATIONS & LICENCES:

  • Drivers Licence required
  • Forklift licence preferred or willing to obtain (company paid)

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage store inventory, ensuring stock is maintained within minimum and maximum levels
  • Locate, order, and issue parts efficiently
  • Process invoices and job cards accurately
  • Liaise with Managers, Supervisors, Equipment Operators, and Workshop Staff
  • Maintain documentation and records for all parts and transactions
  • Identify and minimise obsolete or slow-moving stock
  • Support general administrative functions as required
  • Report hazards in the workplace and ensure compliance with OHS policies

OHS RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with TGE Health & Safety policies and legislative requirements
  • Follow safe work procedures and use provided PPE
  • Report hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards
  • Participate in OHS training, drills, and monitoring activities
