__________ SUPPLY CHAIN FINANCIAL SERVICES DIVISION | TE RATOKA PŪTEA About our team | Mō te tīma We are the Supply Chain, an integral part of the Financial Services Division - a team of highly skilled professional staff responsible all things financial for the University of Otago. Our Supply Chain team is focused on providing flexible Purchasing and Stores services across six hubs of activity. The role | Te mahi The role of Storeperson, within the Supply Chain team, is responsible for a wide range of stores activities, including managing inwards goods and stores operations including inventory replenishment and stocktaking, appropriate storage, picking and distribution of goods. The range of tasks includes: • Acting as a trusted point of contact for staff and students receiving goods or accessing the store. • Performing stocktakes and audits while understanding your user’s requirements. • Maintaining databases and spreadsheets for Stores inventory and charge outs. • Receiving, inspecting, checking and processing inwards goods. • Unloading, delivering and coordinating the safe and timely distribution of goods to the customer or end-use location; and • Storing goods appropriately while remaining aware of particular storage requirements (fragile, perishable goods etc.). The specific tasks in your role will vary depending on the portfolio of work you are focusing on. A more thorough list of portfolio related activities can be found in the position description. Due to the nature of the Supply Chain, the range of tasks and responsibilities is broad and may require performing duties at different workplaces or locations across campus. Your skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako Previous experience working in busy, high-volume stores or logistics environments. • A passion for customer service and delivering exceptional service to staff and students. • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong Microsoft Office and PC skills, particularly Excel and familiarity with databases. • The role involves working across several different systems and databases, as a result, a high attention to detail is required. • A background in science would be beneficial but not required. Further details | Pūroko This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) position, based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin. The appointment range for this role is $63,508 to $68,185. Top of the range is $73,640 per annum. You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this position.
