We’re looking for a proactive Stores & Account Manager to join our team, taking full ownership of a one-man site operation. This is a varied role that combines elements of stores management and account development. You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations on-site, while also building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is commercially aware. You’ll play a key role in supporting our customers to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and keep their production running smoothly.

KEY SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, MRO, PPE, engineering or trade environment (operational or commercial).
  • Experience in stores, procurement, or account management within an industrial B2B environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute with a strong eye for efficiency, cost savings, and value creation.
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a one-man site environment.
  • Comfortable using CRM and stock management systems to manage processes and track performance.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of the on-site stores, ensuring parts, spares, PPE, and tooling are available to meet customer needs.
  • Attend daily/weekly production and engineering meetings to understand site priorities.
  • Manage stock effectively in line with customer requirements, implementing agreed stores processes.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotes for large-value tenders and re-tenders.
  • Consistently deliver agreed service levels against customer-specific KPIs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (engineering, procurement, facilities teams).
  • Identify and execute opportunities for revenue growth, spend consolidation, and margin improvement.
  • Utilise CRM systems and KPIs to track activity, manage the site, and grow customer spend.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer queries, ensuring clear communication and problem resolution.
