Job description
Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 6 months due to funding
To join our Stores team providing building materials and support to the Repairs and Maintenance Service.
Our Housing service deliver a broad range of services to residents, tenants, and leaseholders. As the city’s largest provider of social housing, with a portfolio of over 19,000 homes, we are committed to providing decent, good quality housing and support services. We ensure our houses remain in excellent condition alongside providing a large internal repairs and maintenance service.
Join the Stores team to help provide building materials which enable our Repairs and Maintenance Operatives to repair and renovate tenants’ homes and keep them safe. We are a small, but friendly team who work together to provide a high quality, efficient and effective service.
Our working hours for Stores are 08:00-16:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00-15:30 on a Friday.
We will consider this vacancy on a secondment basis for Leicester City Council employees. If you wish to apply for this post on a secondment basis then please make your line manager aware before applying.

Responsibilities

You will allocate tasks received via our generic email account to the wider team. Aiming to provide an efficient and effective Stores service on a day-to-day basis, you’ll update computer systems, databases and follow Health and Safety guidance. Assisting with maintaining stock at approved levels. You’ll be required to provide management information on products and material availability and issues with supply.
