Description

Millenium Site Services is looking to employ a Stores Assistant who will play a vital role in the efficient day-to-day operation of the factory’s stores and inventory area. They are responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing goods, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring materials and components are readily available for production and dispatch.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse/stores or logistics environment (preferred but not essential).
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
  • Forklift license (desirable but not mandatory)

    Pay: Up to £14.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of stock and materials.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and issue stock to internal departments and external customers.
  • Maintain stock control systems and update inventory records.
  • Assist with regular stock checks and inventory audits.
  • Ensure the stores area is clean, organised, and complies with health and safety standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the Stores Manager.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (if trained/licensed).
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries.
  • Support other departments with material handling or logistics-related tasks when needed.
