Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has become available within our Stores Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join us as Stores Assistant in our busy Purchasing Department. The stores Assistant works with the Stores Team and colleagues across the resort to support, operate and control inventory items withing the goods receiving function. Your duties will include;

  • To receive deliveries as per our standards of practice, ensuring it corresponds with the invoice and order sheets.
  • Ensuring all goods receipt of deliveries are logged into our computer system
  • To communicate any discrepancies to the supplier, document and correct invoices.
  • Reporting any variance of received goods to the Purchasing Manager and Head Chef as appropriate.
  • To complete a daily delivery record for all items including temperature and weight.
  • Ensure all non-food and beverage deliveries are checked and delivered to the relevant department.
  • Ensure all departmental requisitions are collated and delivered/collected as agreed.
  • Communicate any stock shortages to the Purchasing Manager
  • Assist with monthly F&B and Retail stocktaking.
  • Assist with monthly stock spot checks
  • Place daily breakfast and staff canteen orders.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment across good receiving and stores areas.

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience;

  • Computer Literate – comfortable with Microsoft Packages including Excel and Word
  • Confidence to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
  • Manual Handling experience (highly desirable)
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment (desirable)
  • Previous experience with data entry into computer system (desirable)
