Pay: $25.60/hour - $30.80/hour *This Includes $2.00/hr Lead Pay* Position As a Lead Stores Clerk, you will receive, store, and distribute material, equipment, and products for the company. Stores Clerk Responsibilities include: * Daily scheduling and organizing work departments * Provide direction and scheduling to production team members in their daily activities * Assigning work and giving directions * Monitor work progress * Communicate with all departments, logistics, engineering, and production management (to include management on other shifts), as well as with needs, priorities, and issues * Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and, ultimately, external customers * Investigate and fix problems on the production floor * Coach, mentor, and develop team members by investigating the root cause of scrap and RMA issues. Work with the team and quality department to prevent recurrence * Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures * Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment * Develop employees’ continuous improvement abilities * Use and develop visual systems so that no problems are hidden. Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior * Ensure each employee meets company goals and objectives and provides constructive feedback * Reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed * Fills and/or creates requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line * Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code; marking materials with identifying information and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms * Assembles customer orders from stock, places them on pallets or shelves, or conveys them to the packing station or shipping department * Ensures parts are pulled, kitted, and ready in advance of actual production needs * Maintains inventory records, records amounts of materials or items received or distributed, and keeps the database system in real-time Preferred Qualifications: * Two years of supervision experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred * Demonstrates technical work proficiency in the department assigned to * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce * Ability to comprehend and follow specifications and procedures * Proficient mathematical skills * Basic computer knowledge * Familiarity with cycle counting programs * Organizing and coordinating skills * Familiarity with ERP systems Working Conditions: * While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment * Usually work indoors.
