OVERVIEW

We are recruiting a stores manager for one of our clients near Leeds City Centre. Working in an Education setting. You will be part of a team running a day to day operation of stores provision and ordering supplies for various large outlets on site.
You will be required to manually handle heavy loads, dry and cold storage items around the site using metal cages. Responsible for opening of buildings in the mornings and then if required locking up in the evening depending on needs of the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on effective phone etiquette.
• Proven experience in same or similar role is essential.
• Able to work on your own and part of a team
• IT Skills preferred
• Food Safety, Health & Safety & Trained an advantage.
• Full UK Driving Licence

Maintain correct ordering & returns procedures within the stores department
Placing orders with suppliers if experience using digital stock or procure wizard or foodbuy an advantage.
Maintain stock rotation of all products and carry out monthly stocktakes.
Oversee all deliveries & returns and ensure all paperwork is correctly completed with regards to quantity & quality of products
Oversee and if needed assist van drivers and some driving as required
Check deliveries all received, if any discrepancies, quality and temperature control in line with food safety policy.
Ensuring that all stock is distributed and recorded on time
Making sure all store areas are secure and all keys are in the designated area as required.
Assist with training of other members of staff when required
Liase with various managers on a daily basis to ensure all requests & requirements are
met.
