Description

We are looking for a Stores Operative to join Ashtead Technology’s Mechanical Solutions division, based at our Thainstone Technology Centre. Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will be involved with all aspects of Stores operations including receiving, recording and storing goods in as well as preparing and loading goods out accurately and efficiently.

WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING:

Our ideal candidate will be organised with a positive and proactive attitude and ability to prioritise using own incitive. We are also looking for -

  • Previous experience in a Stores environment
  • A Mechanical background with experience working with similar Oil and Gas products and services preferred
  • ERP system experience
  • B1 Forklift Licence, B2 preferred

Responsibilities
  • Managing Purchase Orders and Sales Orders in NetSuite, ensuring timely receipting, issue resolution, and communication with relevant stakeholders
  • Supporting project mobilisation and demobilisation by checking equipment against loadout lists, overseeing safe loading/unloading, documenting with photos, and reporting discrepancies or damage
  • Prepare, check, and maintain spares, consumables, and delivery paperwork to meet project requirements
  • Handle goods movements, including packing/unpacking, vehicle loading/unloading, forklift operations, and assisting yard/workshop teams as needed
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are securely packaged, stored correctly, and stock levels are accurately maintained through counts and records
