POSITION OVERVIEW OF STORES/PACKING OPERATIVE

Reporting to the Team Leader you will be working within a team ensuring packing work that is allocated via schedules is completed in a timely, safe, and efficient time scale. Duties will also include goods-in, dispatch, stock control and counting, replenishment, picking and kitting plus general stores operations support.

REQUIREMENTS OF STORES/PACKING OPERATIVE

• Work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Operating a variety of Forklift trucks, a valid 3t counterbalance licence is preferred as a minimum (other MHE training will be provided)
• Basic IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, training will be provided for in-house software.
• Ability to multitask and manage conflicting demands.
• Keen eye for details.
• Have a commitment to quality work and reliability.
• Willingness to gain new skills and experience.
• Any essential training will be provided.

• The willingness and enthusiasm to use initiative in a demanding and challenging environment.
• Good communication skills on a variety of levels as the role will involve liaising with other departments within the business.
• Able to meet packing targets set within the business.
• Flexible attitude to ensure that the overall smooth operation is carried out with the maximum efficiency within a busy Stores department.
• Manual handling, packaging, and labelling of items.
• Cross-checking important details.
• Achieve required status in relation to Air Cargo Security (Training Provided)
• This will involve a criminal record check and a full 5-year history check being carried out, pre-employment.
