SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Previous experience in a similar stores, warehouse, or inventory management role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
  • Forklift licence (counterbalance) desirable but not essential.
  • Good IT skills (experience with stock control systems, Excel, or ERP systems preferred)
  • Understanding of engineering parts or a technical background would be advantageous.
  • Awareness of health & safety practices in a workshop/stores environment.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an organised, proactive and hands-on Stores Person to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our inventory and stores function. This is a key role within our operations team, ensuring our engineers have the right tools and parts at the right time, and that stock is maintained efficiently to support both planned and reactive service requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage incoming and outgoing goods, including receipt, inspection, and booking in of deliveries.
  • Pick, pack and dispatch service kits, parts, and equipment for jobs and field engineers.
  • Coordinate courier collections and international shipping (including documentation for exports).
  • Maintain an organised and clean workshop and warehouse area in line with H&S standards.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment orders in collaboration with purchasing.
  • Maintain tooling and consumables stock for the field service team, ensuring all van stocks are up to date.
  • Support the Field Engineers with parts availability and issue tools/consumables as needed.
  • Work closely with the Operations Coordinator and operations team to meet customer deadlines.
  • Assist in the assembly and kitting of components for service jobs when required.
  • Maintain records and labelling for traceability and conformity to our QMS system.
  • Ensure compliance with all company H&S, environmental and quality procedures.
