We’re now looking for a Stores Supervisor to lead our Stores team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory and logistics functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role at a pivotal time, as we’ve recently upgraded our stock management system and are driving improvements across the department.
You will lead a team of seven direct reports and work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of all stores-related activities across goods inwards, stock control, issuing, and despatch.

You will bring:

  • Awareness of Stores, Stock Control, or Logistics functions (Goods In, Despatch, Part Issuing)
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer literacy (EPICOR experience desirable)
  • A structured, positive, and can-do approach
  • Willingness to gain forklift truck certification
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations within the Stores function
  • Provide clear supervision, delegation, and motivation to the team
  • Ensure Health & Safety policies and practices are upheld at all times
  • Hold regular briefings and daily meetings with team members
  • Maintain accurate stock counting and reporting procedures
  • Coordinate holiday cover and rota planning to ensure full operational coverage
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and 5S efficiency gains
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and drive a high-performance team culture
  • Liaise closely with the Operations Manager on departmental performance and staffing
  • Contribute to staff development, training plans, and operator grading activities
