Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role is responsible for providing technical leadership in civil engineering activities, including stormwater and pavement design and calculations, site inspections and engineering reports for contributing to the growth of the practice.

Responsibilities:
- To listen, collaborate and communicate effectively with internal staff and external agencies
- Manage civil (pavement and stormwater) design tasks and site inspections of assigned projects. To deliver work in accordance with budget, schedule, priority and within the agreed target time frame
- Undertake civil designs to meet project requirements and in accordance with applicable standards and design directives
- Undertake civil and engineering reports as required
- Develop and manage the planning (estimating, resource requirements and schedule), allocation and deployment of team members and appropriate documentation
- Provide technical leadership to the hydraulic and civil engineering team and act as an interface between the project team, management and customer representatives
- Attend project meetings, site inspections, design reviews and peer review of project documents as required
- Manage and report against the team’s work programme
- Provide technical leadership by contributing to mentoring and developing other team members within the practice
- Contribute to the growth of the practice by promoting the practice and winning new business
- Seek and share good practice and knowledge to continuously improve own practices and maintain professional accreditations
- Undertake other practice duties as required
