You are an experienced designer who has focused on communication as your craft You're a well-rounded visual maker who is equally at home leading art direction and designing a grid system You are a compassionate practitioner with a passion for systematic thinking and detail You're not afraid to create or adapt processes when necessary to help your team perform in a complex organization You excel at working through ambiguity to create a clear vision and can adapt your message so that it resonates with different audiences You're a master at creating a variety of visual internal and client-facing artifacts and deliverables and can guide teammates through your vision Exceptional attention to detail: pixel perfect is your starting point 3-6 years of experience as a visual/graphic designer, with a focus on storytelling systems: typography, layout, deck/proposal design, and similar activities Proven track record of successfully working with deadlines and ambiguity, as well as sharing in-progress work at all levels of fidelity Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and build trust with colleagues and decision-makers and gain alignment across internal teams Strong opinions, weakly held Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop). Responsibilities
The Storytelling Designer will create a variety of visual artifacts and deliverables while guiding teammates through the design vision. They will also maintain a library of storytelling tools and help non-designers improve their design skills.
