Description

Midland Courier is currently seeking a Straight Truck Driver based in Ottawa, ON. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, great and positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills. Main Role: The successful candidate will handle the loading and unloading of shipments, verify delivery accuracy, and ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with company procedures. In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicle in a safe and clean operating condition and adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service skills are essential for success in this role. Work Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, with occasional Monday shifts as required. Start and end times may vary based on operational needs. Candidates must be available to start as early as 7:00 a.m. and work until as late as 7:00 p.m. What We Offer: • Competitive Hourly rates $52.31 • Excess KM Supplement $0.25/km - over 161 total kms/day on normal delivery route. • Fuel purchased at authorized by the Company fuel stops will be charged to the Owner Operator at a rate of $0.408 on gasoline or diesel. • Uniform Allowance of $500 per unit, per year. • $200 safety bonus per quarter if qualified. • Ongoing training and advancement possibilities

The driver is responsible for loading, unloading, and accurately delivering shipments while adhering to company procedures and traffic laws. Additionally, they must maintain the vehicle in a safe, clean condition and provide exceptional customer service.
