As our Strain Development Intern, you will apply cutting-edge molecular cloning techniques in the context of metabolic engineering.

THE PERFECT RECIPE OF SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Currently pursuing preferably a Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a related field
• Strong interest in strain/metabolic engineering, genetics and synthetic biology
• Experience with molecular biology techniques is a must, such as PCR, DNA cloning (ideally: Gibson, Golden Gate). Additional proficiency in microbial culture techniques (sterile working, cultivation) and basic laboratory practices is highly appreciated
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail, theability to work in a structured manner and follow experimental protocols
• Curious to excel beyond the mere performance of procedures with a strong desire to interpret and explain scientific observations
  NB: This internship opportunity must be linked to a mandatory internship through a university.
