SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • A minimum of seven years of related medical sales/marketing/clinical experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability interact and develop relationships with executives of medical facilities and key IDN customers.
  • Ability to learn and understand the clinical use and application of Merit Medical products.
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
  • Excellent training and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Responsible for creating, developing, and implementing, in coordination with Merit’s Sales and National Accounts organizations, successful sales and relationship-building strategies with key clinical, administrative, and executive personnel within targeted Outpatient Labs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1.Develop, establish, and maintain strategic working relationships with targeted Outpatient Labs at an executive level.
2.Negotiate shared value agreements with targeted, strategic Outpatient Lab customers.
3.Leverage and expand market penetration of Merit Medical products.
4.Align strategies with GPO agreements.
5.Represent and interpret national Lab contracts within all key customers; meet with national customers to review existing agreements and to identify/target sales opportunities.
6.Develop working relationships with Merit Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
7.Provides economic buyer sales training to Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
8.Identify strategic opportunities for market expansion through Shared Value Lab agreements.
9.Represent Merit at targeted industry meetings and conferences; promote products and educate internal and external customers.
10.Performs other sales related duties, as required.
