Description

Position: Strategic Account Executive As a Strategic Account Executive at Interplay Learning, you will be responsible for driving new business growth within a targeted list of strategic accounts. You’ll own the full sales cycle — from prospecting (alongside an SDR and other inbound lead sources) and pipeline generation to closing — using a consultative, value-based approach to help organizations modernize their workforce training with Interplay’s innovative, on-demand learning solutions. This role is for an experienced Account Executive in the B2B SaaS space, who has consistently achieved or exceeded an annual quota of around $1M and who has worked with companies in the Skilled Trades - HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Solar, and Facilities Maintenance or the Industrial space related to Manufacturing, Facilities & Industrial Maintenance, Construction, Heavy Equipment, Crane & Rigging, and Logistics. Experience selling eLearning and Training products to these companies is highly preferred! What you’ll do: Drive revenue growth by acquiring new customers through strategic prospecting, delivering compelling product demos, and leading the sales process from initial outreach to final negotiation and close. Build deep, trusted relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within client organizations. Understand customer needs and challenges, developing tailored solutions that demonstrate the value of Interplay Learning’s platform. Develop and execute account plans that align with client goals and drive upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including SDR team, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing, to ensure seamless delivery and support. Monitor target accounts, report on progress, and forecast revenue outcomes to leadership. Represent Interplay Learning at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to strengthen partnerships and enhance brand visibility. Requirements: 7+ years of experience in sales within B2B SaaS or a related industry. Skilled Trades or Industrial segment experience highly preferred. Including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Solar, Manufacturing, Facilities & Industrial Maintenance, Construction, Heavy Equipment, Crane & Rigging, and Logistics. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth within strategic accounts. Deep understanding of the sales process, consultative selling, and account planning. Knowledge of Challenger Sales methodology is a plus. Proficiency with modern sales tech stack including Salesforce, Gong, Zoom, Hubspot, Highspot, G-Suite and Gemini AI. Experience working with workforce training solutions is a plus. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without stipulations and be residents of the United States.
