WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • 10+ years proven success selling SaaS-based or software solutions to large multi-national organizations and ability to manage complex sales cycles
  • Proven targeting, prospecting, and closing skills while achieving or exceeding revenue quotas
  • Ability to relate and present to the C-Suite level
  • A highly analytical approach to defining client outcomes and articulating value
  • Ability to use facts and data to tell a story that leads to sales
  • Proven ability to create energy and focus in highly matrixed teams
  • Ability to travel for client and prospect meetings, trade shows, and sales team events
  • Travel requirements:
  • Moderate (less than 50%) travel required both domestic and international to Sovos locations and events
  • Utilize technology (e.g., phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfill work requirements
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire

As a Strategic Account Executive, you’ll play a critical role in solving a real business need (not just a “nice to have") by delivering solutions that enable compliance across borders and industries.

More specifically, you will:

  • Generate new business opportunities while effectively managing internal support resources and working full sales cycle opportunities from initial contact to close and up-sell/cross-sell
  • Develop and execute an account-based commercial strategy to increase sales opportunities and retain customers
  • Create and nurture executive and C-Suite relationships with clients
  • Deliver profitable new business revenue growth in assigned territory while meeting and exceeding revenue targets and relevant quotas
  • Grow and manage a balanced pipeline across assigned territory achieving new business revenue growth
  • Effectively build a year-over-year record of consistent performance and accountability using multiple sales approaches and managing complex sales into large enterprises
  • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the tax compliance industry and the emerging competitive landscape
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to inform management’s strategic decision-making
