Description

The Strategic Account Manager is the front-line sales professional responsible for providing implementation, technical, clinical, and sales support to specific healthcare facilities within assigned IDNs and key company accounts. Responsible for driving successful product evaluations, solution implementation, providing both proactive and reactive customer support, delivering training programs, and building customer relationships. This role will collaborate with the Director of Sales , Field Application Specialist, and the Polymedco Technical Services Team. The Strategic Account Managerwill cover a territory consisting of specific IDN facilities within one or more key accounts, determined by the Director of Sales.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of work history in medical device sales and/or sales support roles.
  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of work history in the medical diagnostics, emergency department, and/or cardiology technology sales industries.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
  • Must have effective leadership, planning and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively implement a personal management system.
  • Experience and success working directly with healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct training for healthcare professionals.
  • Technical and/or Clinical experience in the healthcare diagnostics segment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Experience using a CRM system – to track and report sales progress to company.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Ability to work productively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work both independently and with others.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50%.
  • Ability to achieve credentialing through Vendormate and other Vendor Credentialing agencies in Territory.
  • Ability to establish a professional virtual home office to conduct virtual sales calls, product demonstrations, in-services and CE’s.
Responsibilities
  • Support PATHFAST product presentations, product evaluations, product trials, solution implementations at key accounts in territory.
  • Collaborate with PATHFAST Director of Sales, Polymedco Customer Success Team, Polymedco Technical Services, and distribution partners to maximize customer satisfaction and company goal attainment.
  • Provide consistent, structured reports from the field to Director of Sales that include measurements of success for customer activity.
  • Ability to consult, train, and work with both laboratory and clinical staff at customers sites. Build proficiency to answer technical and clinical questions from a variety of healthcare professional customers, to include Lab Directors, Physicians, Point of Care Coordinators, and Nurse Managers.
  • Conduct training programs during customer implementation, go-live, and as a part of on-going customer support.
  • Conduct in-person & virtual CE education to clinicians.
  • Conduct in-person & virtual product demonstrations.
  • Conduct in-person & virtual clinical evaluations.
  • Conduct post-sale implementation, in-services, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Maintain relationship with current customers for continued growth.
