JOB DESCRIPTION & SUMMARY

Strategic Account Management is one of the pillars of PwC’s Business Development Department. This role is a permanent role in a dynamic and multifaceted Department focused on driving business development discipline through our robust PwC account management framework. The role heavily focuses on relationship development and the identification of revenue growth opportunities working with our designated account teams. As an experienced Account Manager, you will be responsible for working across a number of the Firm’s large client accounts. You will collaborate closely with client facing account teams, service line and sector teams.
Within the role you will be expected to collaborate, share ideas, and innovate to deliver client-focused business development solutions to the teams you support. You will work alongside colleagues across the broader Clients & Markets Department, including salesforce, marketing, events, strategic communications, and social media to provide an integrated sales and market service. While your primary focus will be on business development, a comprehensive understanding of the interconnection between sales and marketing is essential.
You will leverage your expertise in account management, pursuit, and business development to build trusted relationships with partners and senior stakeholders across all Lines of Service and sectors at PwC Ireland. Additionally, you will connect and liaise with the broader PwC Global network to benefit your account and sectors and the wider business development department. You will drive robust sales measurement through our CRM system, assist account drivers in managing pipelines, and help the Head of Business Development establish a consistent approach to business development revenue and enablement program reporting.

  • A minimum of 5 yrs experience in strategic account management, with a proven track record of operating at a senior level and managing complex, high value client accou nts.
  • Commercial awareness, understanding and experience driving business development initiatives in a professional services or similar environment.
  • Proven experience in account management methodology .
  • Sales campaign experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • P roactive and e ffective at connecting the ‘dots’ and thinking laterally across services, accounts and sector s .
  • Strong project management and organisational skills .
  • Pursuit experience in a professional services environment.
  • Good n umeric understanding and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to influence and work effectively at an individual and group level .
  • CRM, Salesforce, Microsoft Tools experience
Responsibilities
  • Working with Relationship Partners across service lines to drive best practice account management implementation and ongoing account management.
  • Driving the process of best practice annual account and revenue planning on your designated accounts including the co-development of the account growth strategy.
  • Develop a deep understanding of your accounts and sector ( s ) to ensure the PwC client facing team s are bringing the best of PwC globally to the local market .
  • Develop and b uild client relationships through managing procurement relationships including regular engagement, monthly reporting on activity and spending , positioning PwC as a trusted advisor and partne r .
  • You will b ring robust structure and business development ideation to your account team, including co-chairing and facilitating ongoing account meetings , supporting o pportunit y pipeline management and driving revenue growth through incorporating the Firm’s enablement programs into accounts.
  • Manage and facilitate client feedback , driving a culture of gathering feedback through our Client Experience p rogram.
  • You will support the ongoing management of a small number of critical pursuits across account teams.
  • Connect the account team internally and with PwC network subject matter experts.
  • P roactively bring insights, thought leadership and propositions to the account team.
  • Act as a Salesforce champion and advocate for its effective use, highlighting benefits and support account managers with advice and assistance on best practices.
  • Collaboration with wider Clients & Markets team on e vents, m arketing and key strategic sales campaigns.
