The Strategic Accounts Analyst partners with the Strategic Accounts team to transform operational, pricing, and performance data into actionable commercial insights that drive profitability, service excellence, and contract performance. Acting as the analytical backbone of the function, this role enables informed decision-making and ensures contractual commitments deliver sustainable value for both Motion NZ and its customers. What kind of work may be involved? Analyse Strategic Account performance (revenue, margin, pricing compliance, service levels) and deliver clear commercial insights. Develop and maintain performance dashboards highlighting trends, risks, and growth opportunities. Identify margin leakage and pricing inconsistencies; recommend corrective and optimisation actions. Lead pricing governance, ensuring contract pricing accuracy, compliance, and system integrity. Support tenders and contract negotiations through pricing models, scenario analysis, and cost-to-serve assessments. Drive inventory and demand optimisation aligned to contract requirements and working capital targets. Provide supplier and product commercial analysis to unlock cost and margin improvement opportunities. Partner cross-functionally (Sales, Inventory, Procurement, BI, Finance) to deliver data-driven reporting, contract reviews, and strategic account planning. Ideal skills & experience: Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable). 5+ years’ experience in commercial/business analysis or strategic account support (industry experience preferred). Advanced Excel and ERP/BI systems capability (e.g. Pronto). Experience in pricing governance, contract support, and performance reporting. Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical and data interpretation skills. Detail-oriented with strong stakeholder engagement and influencing ability. What is in it for you?
