In this role, you will develop and manage the strategic direction of defined product groups and suppliers. The focus is particularly on machined components as well as cast and forged parts for the hydraulic pump product range. By further developing the supplier base and implementing sustainable procurement strategies, you will make a significant contribution to cost optimization, ensuring delivery capability, improving quality , and minimizing risks, thereby playing a key role in the company's success.

Your tasks:

• Development and implementation of sustainable purchasing, supplier and commodity group strategies , taking into account costs, quality, security of supply and risks.
• Selection, qualification and further development of strategic suppliers as well as the implementation of supplier evaluations and development measures
• Negotiation and conclusion of framework agreements, quality agreements and other purchasing contracts to achieve defined savings and performance targets.
• Analysis of international procurement markets, conducting market and price benchmarks, and identifying opportunities and risks.
• Conducting make-or-buy analyses and participating in investment, development, and optimization projects.
• Optimization of purchasing processes, analysis of relevant key figures and professional coordination of commodity group and project teams.

Your profile:

• Completed commercial or technical training as well as technical experience in a manufacturing industrial environment; a degree in business administration or engineering is an advantage.
• Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing at a manufacturing industrial company
• Technical understanding of manufacturing processes, technical drawings and specifications
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as experience in contract and supplier management.
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills as well as a structured and independent work style
• Proficient use of MS 365, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as good German and English skills.
• Willingness to travel (10-20%)
