We are looking for a Strategic Buyer for an exciting consulting assignment with one of our clients in Gothenburg. In this role, you will play a key part in driving strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier development, and cost optimization. Assignment details Location: Gothenburg, Sweden Remote work: On-site role Assignment period: 23 March 2026 – 18 December 2026 About the role As a Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies within your assigned commodity area. You will drive strategic procurement activities, support cost reduction initiatives, and ensure effective supplier collaboration. You will also monitor market dynamics and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure that sourcing strategies align with business needs and market conditions. Key responsibilities • Initiate and drive strategic sourcing initiatives • Lead cost reduction and value creation activities within the commodity area • Develop and implement segment strategies for the assigned sourcing category • Manage and develop supplier relationships and performance • Establish supplier relationship management processes and improvement initiatives • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements • Coordinate supplier integration activities with internal stakeholders • Monitor market developments impacting materials and services availability • Identify sourcing needs together with internal stakeholders • Analyze supplier markets and support sourcing strategies Requirements • Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement • Proven experience in supplier negotiations and contract management • Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in English Personal qualities • Strategic and analytical mindset • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills • Structured and solution-oriented approach • Ability to drive initiatives independently 🤝 Sway Sourcing is an innovative recruitment partner specializing in matching the right talent with the right company—quickly and efficiently.
