This is a hands-on, forward-looking CFO role overseeing financial strategy and operations across approximately 15 operating entities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. This position is onsite in Watkinsville, GA and offers significant influence on business direction, growth strategy, and financial performance. What You’ll Do Lead enterprise-wide financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning Partner directly with ownership and executive leadership on major business decisions Oversee financial performance across approximately 15 operating entities Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital planning Drive M&A activity, acquisitions, bonding, and financing initiatives Evaluate growth opportunities and financial risk for new projects and ventures Deliver executive-level financial reporting and insights Oversee monthly close, projections, and consolidated reporting Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness Build and maintain relationships with banks, lenders, bonding agents, and external partners Identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities across operations and recommend improvements Act as a strategic business partner—not a back-office operator Participate in leadership team meetings and long-term strategic planning Utilize and optimize Viewpoint ERP or comparable construction ERP systems What Our Client Is Looking For 15–20 years of progressive financial leadership experience Prior CFO experience required Strong multi-entity financial leadership background MUST have commercial construction/utility/land construction experience Experience with M&A, acquisitions, financing, and bonding Expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning ERP experience (Viewpoint preferred) Bachelor's degree highly preferred Why This Opportunity High-impact, strategic CFO role with direct access to ownership Privately held construction company with strong growth trajectory Competitive executive compensation and bonus structure Long-term leadership opportunity with meaningful influence ************ LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED, WILL OFFER RELO ASSISTANCE*********** Please Note: This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
