Our Edmonton office is seeking a Strategic Client Engagement Lead to join our team in support of a high-profile, long-term public sector program implementing a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution. This individual will co-lead delivery efforts in close collaboration with the client’s Project Manager, and serve as the central integrator across technical, business, and client-facing teams.
This is not a traditional PM role — it’s ideal for a seasoned project leader or consultant with high emotional intelligence, strong organizational acumen, and a proven ability to build trust in complex stakeholder environments. The successful candidate will lead through influence, and play a pivotal role in ensuring alignment, driving delivery excellence, and managing risk, scope, and cost across the program.

Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client & Team Coordination

  • Partner with the client’s Project Manager to co-lead integrated schedule and delivery planning
  • Act as a primary interface between the client PM, internal Technical Lead, Senior Business Analyst, and Account Manager
  • Maintain continuous communication with internal and client stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment
  • Facilitate daily and ad hoc coordination to keep all teams moving forward

Project Delivery Oversight

  • Monitor and update integrated project schedules and cost tracking artifacts
  • Lead the development of status reports, coordination of regular meetings, and ongoing progress reviews
  • Proactively identify and manage risks and issues, and facilitate mitigation planning
  • Coordinate preparation and execution of change requests and scope clarifications

Financial & Strategic Planning

  • Support planning and drafting of Statements of Work for future phases
  • Collaborate on the creation of budget proposals and estimates for defined scopes of work
  • Work with internal leads to ensure resource utilization aligns with budget, timeline, and quality expectations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • 8+ years of project management, delivery leadership, or consulting experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in the public sector, ideally involving COTS products
  • Deep familiarity with schedule management, budgeting, change management, and risk mitigation
  • Prior IT consulting experience with cross-functional delivery teams
  • Exposure to Organizational Change Management (OCM) and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Background as a business analyst or in technical delivery is preferred
