The group you’ll be a part of You will be part of Global Indirect Procurement (GIP), supporting Taiwan operations across: TTC (Technology & Transformation Center) – Lam’s R&D and engineering development site LRT (Lam Research Taiwan) – Customer-facing sales and operating organization LMT (Lam Manufacturing Taiwan) – Lam’s manufacturing and production site This role partners closely with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, and Global Category Management to drive sourcing strategy, supplier performance, cost optimization, and risk mitigation across all Taiwan entities. The impact you’ll make As a Strategic Commodity Manager, you will lead indirect procurement strategy across TTC, LRT, and LMT. You will manage critical CAPEX and OPEX categories—including Construction/Architecture/Design/General Contractor Services, Gas & Chemical delivery systems, Facilities Management, and Lab & Capital Equipment—to support Lam’s technology development, customer operations, and manufacturing activities. This role is fully strategic. PR/PO transactional processing is handled by the operations procurement team. Advanced SAP proficiency is essential to ensure strong sourcing execution, contracting quality, purchasing workflow integrity, and data accuracy. What you’ll do Lead category strategy development and execution for Taiwan indirect procurement (TTC/LRT/LMT)Own strategic sourcing for CAPEX and OPEX categories: Construction Management / Architecture / Design / General Contractor Services Gas & Chemicals and delivery equipment Facilities Management Lab & Capital Equipment and related services (MRO and Consumables excluded) Align sourcing plans and strategy with global category managers and site leadershipDrive supplier negotiations, commercial term optimization, and contract executionManage supplier performance, QBRs, escalations, and delivery/quality/cost improvementsPartner with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, and Finance to support projects, ramps, and site expansionIdentify risks (single-source, technical, quality, capacity) and implement mitigation strategiesEnsure compliance with Lam procurement policies, processes, and governanceMaintain clear separation between strategic sourcing and transactional purchasing via operations procurement teamOwn SAP-driven sourcing, contracting, purchasing workflows, and master/data qualityLead continuous improvement initiatives across cost, supplier performance, and process efficiency Who we’re looking for 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or similar fieldsStrategic sourcing experience in two or more of the following: Construction / Design / Architecture / General Contractor Services Gas & Chemical delivery systems Facilities Management Lab & Capital Equipment Experience managing both CAPEX and OPEX categoriesStrong negotiation, contracting, supplier management, and risk mitigation skillsExperience supporting semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or large engineering/facility environmentsAbility to work across TTC (R&D), LRT (sales/operating), and LMT (manufacturing)Advanced SAP proficiency required (contracts, purchasing, sourcing workflows, master data)Fluent English for global negotiations, meetings, and supplier engagementsExperience with supplier performance reviews (QBR) and issue resolution Preferred qualifications Experience in global indirect procurement in semiconductor or high-tech sectors Vendor and contract management experience in construction, facility, or technical service categories Proven experience in supply‑risk mitigation and dual/alternative sourcing Supplier relationship and performance managementNegotiation excellence and commercial acumen Strong background in capital equipment and technical service procurement Track record of measurable cost reduction and process improvement Advanced SAP expertise and data integrity ownership Our commitment We believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
