We are looking for a highly motivated Strategic Financial Controller who is passionate about translating financial data into actionable insights and drive profitability management topics for Julius Baer’s private banking business in Western Markets & Switzerland. You will be joining a dynamic and experienced team of Finance experts who act as sparring partners to the regional senior management, supporting them in achieving their objectives and anticipating trends in the financial performance at an early stage. In this challenging and exciting role, you will be part of the Regional CFO Western Markets & Switzerland team, and report to the Head of Regional Financial Planning, Reporting & Analytics. YOUR CHALLENGE Take an active role in management reporting and controlling for performance steering, including enhancement of existing reporting shelf and design of new products, thereby supporting the future development of revenue and cost management frameworks for the region Conduct quantitative analyses and business case assessments on a regular basis and prepare presentations for senior management Support in building and maintaining complex quantitative models that help translate financial data into actionable insights Act as a sparring partner to the Front in the context of Finance topics, with direct exposure to senior management and key stakeholders across the bank Support the region’s financial planning and performance management processes (incl. budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis) Support strategic finance topics / initiatives which enable the region to achieve its financial objectives Develop tools focusing on further automatization and more flexible & timely use of data YOUR PROFILE Strong academic record in a quantitative field: University degree in Finance, Accounting, Econometrics or comparable field of study with above-average grades At least 4-5 years of experience in a comparable finance or related function within banking / financial industry or analyst / controller background in other industries Strong interest in Private Banking & global financial markets, experience in similar environment advantageous Outstanding analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with a strong affinity to quantitative modelling Excellent Excel and data handling skills. Programming skills (e.g. VBA/Python/SQL/R) as well as data visualization / business intelligence tools knowledge (e.g. Tableau/Power BI) is a great advantage Advanced PowerPoint skills and an affinity for automation of presentation content in connection with data updates Strong personal drive with good organizational and multi-tasking skills as well as ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple senior stakeholders Independent, pro-active, efficient and meticulous work method with a results-oriented mindset Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus We are looking forward to receiving your full job application through our online application tool.
