Summary of the position
The Strategic IT Sales Executive is a senior-level professional responsible for driving revenue growth by selling complex IT solutions—such as cloud services, cybersecurity platforms, enterprise software, and infrastructure systems—to high-value clients. This role blends deep technical understanding with consultative sales expertise and strategic account management.

Essential Job Duties – Strategic IT Sales Executive

  • Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
  • Identify new market opportunities and customer segments
  • Forecast sales performance and adjust tactics accordingly
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
  • Prospect and qualify leads through networking, referrals, and digital channels
  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demos
  • Solution Selling & Technical Consultation
  • Understand client business challenges and recommend tailored IT solutions
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver customized proposals
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies to guide clients effectively
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams
  • Align sales efforts with company goals and product roadmaps
  • Provide feedback from clients to improve offerings and service delivery
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track KPIs such as conversion rates, revenue growth, and client retention
  • Prepare regular sales reports and pipeline updates for leadership
  • Use CRM tools to manage accounts and document interactions

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in IT sales, preferably in B2B or SaaS environments.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and managed services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment.
  • May require extended hours during project deadlines or system implementations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods in stationary position at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move throughout the office, including across longer distances such as from the building entrance to the workspace.
