The post holder will lead the development of strategic approaches that influence both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with broader system priorities. In addition to corporate responsibilities, the role oversees the direction and integration of multiple operational teams and programmes. It requires expert knowledge of safeguarding practices and community interventions, alongside strong leadership in managing a diverse portfolio subject to varied reporting and regulatory frameworks. As part of the Senior Leadership structure, the post holder will contribute to a wide range of cross-cutting workstreams, driving innovation, collaboration, and service excellence A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post. About You To apply for this post, you must: A professional qualification at Master's level or above, relevant to Public Health Experience of working with a Local Authority, Public Health or multiagency partnership setting Comprehensive experience of developing, facilitating and leading partnership working to ensure an integrated and connected approach across departments and organisations. Identifying, assessing and monitoring the health needs of the local population and devising programmes to address needs based on evidence. Local and national policy context across the target (vulnerable) groups: frail older people, people with disabilities (learning, sensory and physical), mental health issues, carers, children and families Ability to work autonomously, making decisions at the appropriate time, considering the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and availability of information. Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to use sound judgement and evidence to devise innovative solutions, working to tight and often changing timescales. You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
