Please note that this book of business is located primarily in California with a small amount of accounts in Nevada and Utah. Applicants residing in CA, AZ, UT, OR, WA, or ID will be considered. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in employee benefits (broker, health insurance) with a bachelor’s degree. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • Sophisticated business math and complex analytical skills with the ability to position financial outcomes that contribute to revenue goals across assigned portfolio
  • Excellent consultative selling and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision makers associated with high-value, complex customers
  • Strong time management skills and experience with simultaneously managing overlapping projects under tight deadlines
  • Ability to meet specific deliverables within an environment of tight deadlines and considerable pressure
  • Capable of frequently working independently, demonstrated resourcefulness and requiring little guidance
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal with special emphasis in formal business presentations
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, of all levels in the organization, in a collaborative environment
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with ability to work cross-functionally to resolve complex issues and generate results
  • Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • 35% travel including overnight. Use of personal car and ability to sustain expenses until reimbursed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and CRM (Salesforce)
  • National account management experience of 3,000+ lives/employees highly preferred
  • Reside in CA, AZ, NV, UT, OR, WA, or ID
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to successfully complete a motor vehicle record check. The person in this role will need to purchase and maintain a $250,000/$500,000 collision damage liability insurance policy for the vehicle which they will receive the company allowanceLicenses:
  • Active CA State life and health producer license or ability to obtain this license within 90 days of employment is required; must maintain license through completing continuing education requirements
  • Active Driver License, valid and in-state
    Base Pay Information
    The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
    Pay Grade 19 $63,700 - $133,500

  • Pipeline Oversight: Forecast revenue growth opportunities over a 3-5-year period, identifying and capitalizing on potential avenues for success
  • Analytical Skills: Lead deal tactics using comprehensive market knowledge, collaborating with cross-functional peers to drive results
  • Partnership Building: Foster impactful partnerships with clients and brokers, enhancing outcomes through effective communication and collaboration
