We are looking for a Strategic New Business Underwriter - Team Leader to join our Manchester based New Business team.
Reporting to the Head of Broker New Business, you will be responsible for generating new business to achieve your annual new business target through the Specialist Broker Channel through Major and Strategic opportunities, and developing and encouraging SME NB underwriters to hit target whilst supporting them with their growth and development, assisting with decision making on terms and driving results.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Brokers through a structured visits and communication plan which is measured by closure rate and success
• Underwrite and propose sustainable and competitive terms within your underwriting authority
• Collaborate with internal partners to engage and maximise the Allianz Trade offer
• Ensure all new business is recorded and issued in line with company standards
• Proactively generate opportunities within your Broker portfolio
• Balance commercial interests within a competitive market
• Support the growth and development of the SME team
• Review and agree terms for SME underwriters where required
• Drive SME target achievement
