This position serves as a key partner to the executive leadership team, ensuring alignment between strategic priorities and operational performance. The Director oversees strategic project management, facilitates executive team meetings, and fosters strong relationships across hospital departments and the broader healthcare system. Acting as both a strategist and an implementer, the Director provides operational oversight, thought leadership, and project management expertise to drive organizational success, operational efficiency, and excellence in patient care. Primary duties and responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Execution: 1. Partner with hospital and system leadership to develop and execute strategic and operational plans that advance organizational goals and priorities. 2. Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, measurable outcomes, and sustainable operational improvements. 3. Track progress of strategic projects, ensuring timely execution, clear communication, and accountability for deliverables. 4. Provide strategic thought leadership to guide decision-making, identify opportunities for innovation, and anticipate organizational needs. Project and Change Management: 1. Lead and oversee multiple strategic projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, resource optimization, and stakeholder engagement. 2. Apply project management best practices to define scope, manage timelines, mitigate risks, and measure outcomes. 3. Guide teams through change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and sustained adoption of new processes or systems. Executive Leadership and Governance Support 1. Manage the planning, coordination, and follow-up for executive leadership and strategy team meetings, including agenda development, presentation materials, and progress tracking. 2. Serve as a liaison between hospital executives, department leaders, and system-level partners to ensure alignment and information flow. 3. Support executive decision-making through data-driven insights, performance dashboards, and strategic recommendations. Operational Performance and Process Improvement 1. Lead or support process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to improve quality and streamline workflows. 2. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate success and guide continuous improvement. Relationship Building and Collaboration 1. Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships across hospital departments, physician groups, and the broader healthcare system. 2. Promote a culture of partnership, transparency, and shared accountability for strategic and operational goals. 3. Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment and integration of initiatives across the organization. Travel: Travel between Operating Units may be required Work Type: Hybrid employee - splits time between working remotely and working in the office. Minimum Required Qualifications: Education - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field. Experience - Minimum of 5 years of experience in related field. Knowledge, skills, and abilities (required): 1. Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans; skilled in data analysis, performance measurement, and problem-solving. 2. Project and Change Management: Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage timelines, coordinate resources, and drive organizational change. 3. Leadership and Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence, build trust, and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. 4. Executive-Level Communication: Skilled in preparing and presenting information to senior leadership and governing bodies with clarity and professionalism. 5. Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across departments and within a larger healthcare system. 6. Adaptability and Innovation: Comfortable navigating ambiguity, anticipating needs, and identifying creative solutions to operational challenges. Preferred Qualifications: Education - Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field. Experience - 7 years minimum experience in related field in a large healthcare system Knowledge, skills, and ability requirements (preferred): 1. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, or similar), and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
