About the role The Partnerships and Synergies Manager will orchestrate and drive joint procurement, joint service, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across Qatar Airways Group's strategic equity partners (including VA, IAG, WB, and others). This role is focused on delivering high-impact, synergistic benefits in compliance with regulatory frameworks. In addition to these responsibilities, the position will have a strong emphasis on project management. The individual will act as the project lead, ensuring structured planning, execution, and delivery of complex initiatives. We expect the candidate to bring robust consultancy skills—such as strategic problem-solving, stakeholder alignment, and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans—while maintaining a collaborative approach across diverse partners. The Partnerships and Synergies Manager will be responsible for leading joint sourcing initiatives from concept through completion. This includes developing the initial idea, building alignment with stakeholders, coordinating strategic partners, managing the project plan, executing collaborative sourcing activities, and ensuring delivery of measurable value. The role also involves setting up clear governance for the initiative and maintaining strong communication across all parties to achieve agreed objectives. The role requires a balance of commercial rigor, project execution, commercial aptitude, and stakeholder engagement.. Your responsibilities Strategic: Lead and orchestrate a set of value prioritized cross-partner procurement initiatives that deliver measurable cost synergies. Provide strategic advisory and consultancy support to stakeholders by analyzing complex business challenges, recommending actionable solutions, and facilitating decision-making across partner organizations. Identify and prioritise high-value joint sourcing opportunities by category across QR and partner airlines. Establish and maintain a legally compliant governance framework for joint procurement activities including clean room structures. Coordinate with Corporate Development, Legal, and Procurement teams to ensure appropriate risk and compliance controls. Operational: Drive end-to-end project management for synergy initiatives, including planning, resource allocation, timeline control, and risk mitigation to ensure successful delivery within agreed scope and budget Conduct detailed market, spend, and supplier analysis to support sourcing decisions and synergy opportunity identification. Track, report, and communicate synergy value capture across projects and partners, ensuring accountability and results. Liaise with procurement leads in equity partners, and internally within QRG alongside category and departmental specialists, to align on category strategy, targets, and execution plans. Monitor supplier performance and ensure commercial terms are embedded consistently across jurisdictions. Facilitate workshops, reviews, and working groups with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate delivery. Develop process improvement capabilities, tools and techniques in order to support the business to reach their business objectives. Additional Responsibilities Support development of procurement-related reporting and dashboards for Qatar Airways Board and Investment Committee. Contribute to the wider transformation and value creation agenda led by Corporate Development. Support capability development and knowledge transfer across procurement teams in partner airlines. About You: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and tracking results. Experience in structuring partnerships, alliances, or joint ventures in complex regulatory environments Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams. Strong proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Proven track record of linking strategic initiatives to execution plans. Strong ability to engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders, through effective communication and collaboration. Demonstrated ability to influence and engage with senior leadership, including SVPs and VPs, through strategic insights and recommendations. Proven ability to apply industry knowledge to drive operational improvements and synergies. Experience in organization transformations working in diverse cultural environments. International work experience. Strong leadership and business/performance mindset, with outstanding capabilities of negotiation and influence.
