KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES ON RELATIONSHIPS, POLICY AND RISK MANAGEMENT

Working with the Head of Sales and other senior stakeholders, develop effective relationships with the internal teams, regulation and relevant departments to ensure the business is well positioned to influence the clients.
Engaging with policy and legislation changes in the energy sectors, informing consultations to support the company’s position as a thought leader on opportunities and risks.
Responsible for working in accordance with the BGB’s TPI Management Framework, and compliance with the Centrica’s internal policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Extensive experience in managing relationships with third party intermediaries and commercial partners in the Energy sector.
Experienced in leading sales environments within B2B energy markets, with a strong focus on ensuring all operations are conducted ethically and adhere to full regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to design and implement strategies that deliver commercial value and accelerate customer growth, with broad expertise encompassing the entire range of B2B clients and partners—from small businesses to large mid-market organisations.
Exceptional communication skills, honed through experience in delivering customer-focused solutions to senior leaders and directors, ensuring impactful presentations that drive engagement and strategic alignment.

Responsibilities

The Strategic Partnerships Sales Manager is instrumental in building and maintaining strategic relationships with Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs) for British Gas Business. This role involves collaborating with senior management and directors at various levels to cultivate partnerships, implement key strategies, and drive business growth, while enhancing customer retention and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with Third-Party Intermediaries (TPIs) to establish and align on key deliverables, ensuring partnerships are effectively managed and evaluated against well-defined metrics. By crafting a compelling strategic narrative, the manager will build, strengthen, and sustain impactful, long-lasting relationships
Key responsibilities include leading the negotiation of commercial partnership agreements and driving energy and related service sales across Small and Mid-Market segments, consistently upholding high standards throughout the process.
Moreover, the Strategic Partnerships Sales Manager will spearhead both tactical and long-term initiatives to exceed ambitious new business growth and retention targets. By aligning closely with our Broker Strategy, the manager will unlock revenue streams through BGB propositions and Centrica products, while maintaining an unwavering strategic focus on identifying and seizing growth opportunities. Demonstrating visionary leadership, they will craft innovative solutions to amplify customer value and drive sustained success.
