An exciting new startup is looking for an experienced Strategic Planning Advisor to head up its planning advisory team. The startup is based on the ‘ independent expert’ consulting business model, and will offer services to urban planning professionals, architects, building designers, builders, government and other non-professional planners through developing planning related tools and products.
The advisor we are seeking must be experienced in statutory and strategic planning in the ACT, and have a strong interest in technology/AI and how it can be used to support urban planning and housing supply. Knowledge of the NSW system is desirable.
Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic and flexible environment, and must be willing to train and mentor junior staff, participate in business development events, and be able to manage and prioritise numerous projects at any one time.
Our ideal candidate must also enjoy working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
On any given day our ideal candidate could be monitoring changes in statutory and strategic planning, advising a multidisciplinary team on planning issues, working closely with technologists on planning related systems, briefing industry bodies, briefing other planning professionals, and contributing to the strategic direction of the business.
Salary range will be commensurate with experience, in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 plus super.
