Responsibilities

THE PURPOSE:

As a Strategic Planning Manager, you’ll help turn strategy into results by translating corporate goals into an enterprise scorecard that tracks meaningful outcomes. You’ll cascade these goals across teams, lead quarterly business reviews, and ensure alignment and focus across the organisation.
This role will also see you support the enterprise feasibility process—shaping, testing, and framing new ideas for leadership. Beyond execution, you’ll enhance planning capability company-wide by developing tools, templates, and training that enable smarter prioritisation and more effective delivery.

THE CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Support strategic planning by analysing data to align initiatives with organisational goals.
  • Develop measurement frameworks, including metrics, data collection methods, and reporting formats.
  • Track performance against objectives to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide analytical support and tailored solutions through stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist risk management by identifying risks and mitigation actions within governance frameworks.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend improvements aligned with strategy.
  • Prepare reports and insights to support strategic communication and change initiatives.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and facilitate informed decision-making.

THE CAPABILITIES NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role across Strategic/Business Planning, Strategy, Management Consulting or Finance.
  • Robust ability to provide advice and recommendations, based on expertise and experience.
  • Ability to undertakes basic risk management activities.
  • Proven experience to adopt a holistic view to identify and analyse problems and opportunities.
  • Ability to implement root cause analysis and identify recommendations for improvements.
  • Engage and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Well honed experience to apply standard techniques to analyse existing business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to act as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
  • Developed knowledge of the payments technology, IT systems and the financial industry is a plus.
