Job Purpose Contributes to new model cost target setting and achievement, budget forecasting and reporting, and supports directions within the PS&P Procurement Planning Unit to execute overall cost strategies and business objectives. Key Accountabilities Help set and meet cost targets for new models with minimal support. Assist in pre-development cost estimations and investigations. Support risk monitoring for supplier financial risk, geopolitical risk, and compliance checks. Assist in rolling up long-term budget for future developments and new model cost targets, including coordination of the mass production unit cost budgeting. Participates in themes to reduce outsourcing costs and prepare future strategies for application. Support efforts to minimize service parts backorders. Lead supplier relationship monitoring to track spend characteristics and identify risk areas. Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business (Accounting or Purchasing preferred), or related discipline, or equivalent work experience 0 to 2 years related work experience, preferably in Powersports or Automotive field, with a degree or 4 + years of relevant work experience. Proficiency with programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, relational database management (QMF/SQL). Interacts and communicates effectively with supervisor and other department members Good planning, implementation, and project management skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Must be able to operate with a high level of confidentiality General knowledge of cost, budget, and/or financial information management Strong analytical skills (logical, thorough process, reasonability, timeliness) Time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills (logical thought process, reasonability, timeliness) Effective negotiation skills and the ability to summarize key issues for management review Develop innovative approaches to reduce costs and improve efficiency Knowledge of SxS and ATV market Ability to read blueprints and understand specification requirements Working Conditions Travel: Average of 6 times per year, depending on project demand. Could include some international travel. Physical: primarily deskwork, frequent keyboarding. Hazards: may be exposed to hazardous chemicals & equipment, including on/off-road riding/driving.
