These are your tasks:

• As Head of Procurement (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the disciplinary and professional management of a team of approximately 17 employees and will actively shape the further successful development of our company.
• You will be responsible for strategic purchasing at Diehl Aviation Gilching GmbH's Dresden and Gilching locations, with a purchasing volume of approximately €80 million. Working closely with the group-wide purchasing organization, you will develop a high-performing, cost-optimized, and high-quality supplier network. Together with Supply Chain Management, you will also ensure an optimal and needs-based supply of components for both locations.
• You will build long-term and sustainable partnerships with our strategic suppliers, negotiate framework agreements, and secure optimal conditions regarding costs, quality, flexibility, and risk sharing. As part of the company's international focus, you will consistently drive the global sourcing strategy forward and develop new procurement markets, particularly in competitive sourcing regions.
• They ensure the early involvement of purchasing in the offer and development phase of new products and, together with your project purchasing team, accompany the entire product development process.
• Furthermore, you will identify and realize sustainable potential for cost optimization and for increasing efficiency and delivery performance along the supply chain. This includes the relocation of work packages as well as the initiation and implementation of design-to-cost initiatives.

You bring the following with you:

• You have successfully completed a degree in economics, engineering or natural sciences or a comparable qualification and have continuously expanded your expertise through targeted further training measures.
• You have many years of professional experience in strategic purchasing as well as demonstrable leadership experience. In doing so, you have developed into a convincing, assertive, and at the same time appreciative leader.
• Her negotiation skills are complemented by excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• They are characterized by strong analytical and conceptual skills, a high degree of international orientation, and a robust technical understanding. They act entrepreneurially, think strategically, and know how to motivate and develop teams and lead them successfully through change.
• They are fluent in German and English and possess the necessary willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
