We’re searching for a commercially minded, relationship‑focused Strategic Procurement Manager to join our Customer & Corporate Services Procurement team. This is a senior role where you’ll lead major and medium‑complexity procurement initiatives, influence business‑critical decisions, and drive sustainable commercial outcomes across some of the bank’s key spend categories. Mō te tūranga | About the Role Reporting to the Senior Procurement Lead for Customer & Corporate Services, you’ll oversee the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle, from strategy and category planning through to sourcing, negotiation, and contract management. You will: Develop and execute innovative category strategies for Customer & Corporate Services Lead sourcing activities, contract negotiations, and partner relationship management Provide expert commercial advice and support to senior stakeholders Ensure category plans, sourcing strategies and procurement pipelines are robust, accurate and deliver meaningful outcomes Champion sustainability, governance, and commercial excellence Coach and mentor less experienced procurement team members Build strong relationships across Procurement, Finance, Legal, and key business units Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring? As a Bank, we are a large and diverse procurer, so deep procurement expertise (7 years’+ experience) covering categories such as Professional Services, HR, Consultancy, Property Services, Travel, Fleet and Marketing is essential. For this role, the best candidates will have significant experience partnering with business leaders and external providers across these spend areas, with a strong ability to navigate complex commercial arrangements and drive sustainable value.
