DIRECTORATE: Infrastructure, Planning and Environment CLASSIFICATION: Grade I SALARY: $106,005 to $122,966 pa + 12% employer contribution to superannuation REPORTING TO: Team Leader Resource Recovery EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent Full Time THE POSITION: The Strategic Project Officer is accountable for the coordination and successful delivery of a waste management strategy, which focuses on extending the landfill life, reaching state targets and meeting legislative requirements with a planned approach to infrastructure improvements over a long term to enable the Albury Waste Management centre to be available for the community. The role will provide a high-level coordination role for the delivery of the strategic direction as part of the Resource Recovery team. The role will be able to work autonomously and use specialist experience and initiative to drive projects from inception through completion. An understanding of local government legislation and processes will be instrumental in the successful delivery of priorities.
