Job Description Summary The Strategic Relationship Manager, leads the development and growth of institutional client relationships, driving revenue through the sale of investment products and solutions. Identifies client needs, originates new opportunities, and delivers tailored strategies to meet complex investment objectives. Major Duties Own and lead relationships with complex institutional investment clients, acting as the primary senior contact. Drive new business generation, including identifying prospects, leading presentations, coordinating subject matter experts, and closing sales opportunities. Develop and execute client strategies, identifying growth opportunities, anticipating client needs, and shaping tailored solutions aligned to investment objectives. Collaborate across internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services, effective issue resolution, and high levels of client satisfaction. Act as a trusted advisor to clients by analysing investment needs, recommending product enhancements, and assessing the impact of new solutions. Provide strategic input to senior management, contributing to product development, process improvements, and broader business initiatives. Manage and optimise client profitability, including pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and identification of revenue growth opportunities. Evaluate and recommend new products and services, considering both client needs and broader organisational impact. Knowledge Strong knowledge of investment management across fixed income, equities (active and passive), cash, and international markets. Broad understanding of portfolio management and financial markets, enabling effective client advisory. Advanced skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and solution-based selling. Experience 10–15 years’ experience in institutional client coverage, relationship management, or sales within financial services.
