Description
Job Description What is the opportunity? As a Junior Analyst within the CAE Group, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the digital transformation of the internal audit function by supporting data and AI initiatives that enhance audit execution and generate strategic, enterprise-level risk insights. You’ll help design analytics that enable smarter audits, contribute to quarterly insights derived from audit outcomes, and participate in cross-enterprise risk analytics engagements. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is curious, data-driven, and excited about combining analytics, storytelling, and risk intelligence in a complex, evolving environment. What will you do? Participate in strategic analytics engagements that look across multiple audits and data sources to uncover differentiated views of risk, control weakness clusters, or systemic trends. Contribute to AI initiatives, including the use of AI foundational models, machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) to enhance audit effectiveness and drive efficiencies across the audit lifecycle. Analyze audit results across the portfolios and geographies to extract and synthesize key findings, trends, and emerging risks for quarterly enterprise audit insights. Help build and maintain dashboards and narrative reports that bring audit data to life for executive stakeholders. Work with structured and unstructured datasets including text, audio, and transactional data. Collaborate with auditors, data engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure the quality, interpretability, and alignment of analytics outputs. Maintain proper documentation, version control, and knowledge-sharing practices for repeatable and scalable analytics work. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: University degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or a related quantitative field. 1-2 years of relevant experience (including internships/co-op) in data analysis, audit, risk management, or AI/machine learning. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large and complex datasets. Working knowledge of Python or R, especially for data wrangling and statistical analysis. Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and present analytical findings to non-technical audiences. Nice-to-have: Experience working with internal audit, enterprise risk, or compliance teams. Exposure to generative AI frameworks and graph analysis. Familiarity with data pipeline workflow tools such as Apache Airflow and large-scale processing engines such as Apache Spark. Experience designing and developing user interfaces using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Dash). What’s in it for you?
