STRATEGIC SALES MANAGER - NATIONAL ACCOUNTS

Location: Remote with Travel / Headquarters: Plains PA
Clopay National Accounts (Storefronts Division) is seeking a proven Strategic Sales Manager with a strong background in outside B2B sales, specifically within the commercial door industry. This role is responsible for driving growth through national account development, with a focus on both new construction and retrofit projects across commercial, retail, and industrial markets.
We are looking for a sales professional who excels at developing contractor and end-user relationships and has the ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects from lead to close.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6–8+ years of outside sales experience in the commercial door, access systems, or related building materials industry
  • Proven track record in national account management and project-based sales
  • Experience selling through contractor networks and directly to commercial end-users
  • Familiarity with construction documents, architectural plans, and project timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue growth through new national account acquisition in the commercial door market
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients across multiple verticals, including construction, retail, and industrial sectors
  • Work collaboratively with internal Sales Operations and Project Management teams throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Present Clopay’s value proposition to contractors, architects, facility managers, and procurement teams
  • Create and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and product solutions
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and support the growth of existing accounts
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive offerings to stay ahead in the market
  • Utilize CRM tools to track sales pipeline, activity, and account progress
  • Travel up to 25% for client meetings, project site visits, and periodic travel to our Plains, PA headquarters
